As part of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, BEM KEMABA FPBS UPI once again organized its annual program, the 2026 Community Service and Engagement Week (PLP2M). Carrying the theme “Hadir Sepenuh Hati, Bergerak Penuh Arti, Membangun Jejak Inspirasi,” the program was held for one week, from July 19 to July 26, 2026, in Cibodas Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency. PLP2M featured a series of activities focusing on social, educational, and religious aspects.
At the opening ceremony, G Vivaldi M Salahudin Landa, as Rais ‘Am of BEM KEMABA FPBS UPI, delivered remarks regarding the implementation of PLP2M. This was followed by remarks on behalf of the Head of the Study Program, represented by Mr. Rinaldi Supriadi, who expressed gratitude to the Cibodas Village administration for the warm welcome and gracious reception. The event then continued with remarks from the Head of Cibodas Village, Mr. Dindin Sukaya, who officially welcomed the Arabic Language Education (PBA) students while presenting the profile and condition of Cibodas Village.
During the service period, students visited local residents in their homes. Through these visits, the students introduced the PLP2M program directly to the community while also strengthening social ties. In addition, the students joined residents in gardening, learned how to milk cows, and took part in other activities as a form of community-life simulation to broaden their understanding of the village’s agrarian way of life. In the same spirit, residents also showed enthusiasm for the clothing bazaar organized by the students.
On the fifth day, the social activities concluded with a ceremonial program. The students organized a public awareness session on earthquake disasters, focusing on the Lembang fault earthquake, to improve residents’ preparedness in facing potential disasters. The ceremonial series concluded with support for orphans and the distribution of basic necessities to underprivileged residents, with sponsorship support from Jalan Langit Foundation. This activity reflected shared concern for community welfare.
In the educational aspect, the students also took part in teaching and learning activities at SDN Cibodas and SDN Buahbatu, both of which are local educational institutions. Through these activities, the students shared knowledge, insights, and experiences with the pupils while also encouraging the younger generation of Cibodas Village to stay motivated in learning. Beyond that, the students also organized a seminar for teachers on dealing with students in the digital era. Apart from formal education, the students also actively participated in religious education activities at DTA Miftahul Huda.
In the religious aspect, the students contributed directly to community life by serving as imams and muezzins for the five daily prayers, taking on duties as khatibs and imams for Friday prayers, and participating actively in regular religious study gatherings organized by local residents.

The PLP2M 2026 series officially closed in an atmosphere filled with emotion and warmth, enlivened by performances from DTA children as a special presentation for all students and community members in attendance. This moment became a symbol of togetherness as well as an expression of gratitude for the cooperation built throughout the week.
The closing event was held at the Cibodas Village Multipurpose Hall and was attended by the Rais ‘Am, Mr. Rinaldi Supriadi as the representative of the Head of the Study Program, the Head of Cibodas Village Mr. Dindin Sukaya and his staff, as well as the entire PLP2M committee.
In his remarks, the Rais ‘Am specifically expressed deep gratitude to the residents of Cibodas Village and also extended apologies for any shortcomings on the part of the students during the program. After that, Mr. Rinaldi Supriadi, as the representative of the Head of the Study Program, also delivered his remarks to convey similar appreciation and apologies on behalf of the study program.
