Bandung, 9 May 2026 - The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held a Career Guidance Session for 2026 Wave II graduating students on Saturday, 9 May 2026. The program was organized to equip prospective graduates before they enter the workforce and take on their roles as UPI alumni.
The event began with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, as a gesture of respect and national pride. It was followed by remarks from the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of FPBS UPI, who emphasized the importance of graduates being prepared for the dynamics of the workplace while upholding the good name of their alma mater in society.
On the same occasion, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs also delivered a session on alumni responsibilities, including the importance of alumni contributions to institutional development, the strengthening of professional networks, and active participation in tracer studies as part of higher education quality evaluation.
The program continued with a presentation by the Student Adviser of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, who provided guidance on graduate readiness for the world of work. In the session, participants were encouraged to evaluate their career direction, understand labor market trends, prepare ATS-friendly CVs, build personal branding through LinkedIn, make use of job portals, and prepare for job interviews. The session was conducted interactively through discussion and questions from participants.
As a form of appreciation for students’ academic and non-academic achievements, FPBS UPI also presented awards to 16 outstanding graduates of Wave II 2026. The awards were given to selected students from various study programs and levels of education within FPBS.
The event then continued with a group photo session as documentation of the togetherness among faculty leaders, lecturers, and prospective graduates. After the closing, the program proceeded with graduation registration and gown distribution for participants.

At 1:30 p.m. WIB, all prospective graduates took part in the graduation rehearsal held at the UPI Gymnasium Building as technical preparation for the 2026 Wave II Graduation Ceremony.
This career guidance program forms part of FPBS UPI’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by strengthening graduate readiness so they can adapt, remain competitive, and contribute positively in professional and social settings.
