Bandung, February 13, 2026 - The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) held a Work Dialogue for Drafting the Derivative Targets of the Rector and Dean’s Performance Agreement on February 12, 2026, attended by FPBS leadership, including Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi), and Heads of Sections (Kasi). This event marked the initial step in cascading the performance targets set by the Rector of UPI to the Dean of FPBS, which were subsequently disseminated to faculty-level leaders.
The event commenced at 2:00 PM with opening remarks by the Dean of FPBS, who emphasized the importance of a clear and measurable understanding and elaboration of targets across all work units. The Dean also highlighted the necessity of synergy between faculty leadership and staff to ensure the attainment of broader university objectives, as well as the critical role of each unit in supporting the achievement of performance targets.
During this session, the Vice Deans, Kaprodi, and Kasi discussed and agreed upon derivative targets encompassing various aspects of academic affairs, human resource management, and service quality improvement. The delegation of responsibilities and detailed explanations of each unit’s role formed the core of this work dialogue. Faculty leaders were given the opportunity to provide input on realistic and achievable targets that align with the capacity and characteristics of their respective work units.
As a continuation of the event, a Work Dialogue with Educational Staff was held on February 13, 2026, at 1:30 PM, during which Heads of Sections provided explanations and distributed derivative targets to the educational staff (tendik) at the faculty level. This was intended to ensure that every educational staff member understands their role and contribution in supporting FPBS’s performance target achievement.
Equally important, the Kaprodi continued the work dialogue with lecturers within their respective work units to convey more specific derivative targets tailored to the capabilities and conditions of each study program. This process ensured that every study program had a realistic and appropriate plan, enabling them to work efficiently in achieving the established targets.
This event is also part of a performance management system based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), with a focus on targeted and outcome-based human resource management. Additionally, this event supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by fostering a transparent, accountable, and performance-based work culture.
Through this work dialogue, it is hoped that every element of FPBS can work in a coordinated and professional manner to realize the vision and mission of the university, as well as achieve the targets established by the Rector and Dean.
