The Student Association of Japanese Language Education at UPI (Himabaja) carried out a Community Service Program (P2M) at Yayasan Bakti 45 Sejahtera, Lembang, West Bandung Regency, on 10–12 January 2026. This activity reflects students’ concern for education and social issues, while also supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals, through an inclusive, educational learning program oriented toward character development.

The P2M activities were carried out over three days with a series of integrated programs. On the first day, children participated in a Japanese language education class covering aisatsu (greetings) and an introduction to Japanese culture through odori (traditional dance), followed by an inspiration class through the creation of a dream tree and a Qur’an recitation session to strengthen character values. The second day featured a creative class including making sunflower and cherry blossom origami and decorating photo frames as mementos of togetherness. The P2M program was concluded on the third day with various art performances by the children of the foundation and the Himabaja committee, such as Jaipong dance, silat, traditional Japanese dance, and modern dance.

Through this series of activities, Himabaja UPI’s P2M not only focused on improving children’s knowledge and skills, but also on building character, creativity, and social and spiritual values. This activity aligns with efforts to achieve the SDGs, particularly SDG 4 by providing quality, inclusive, and enjoyable education, and SDG 17 through collaboration among students, the foundation, and various related parties. Thus, Himabaja’s P2M is expected to provide sustainable positive impacts for participants and the surrounding environment.
