Bandung, 27 January 2026 - The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, has once again achieved an outstanding academic milestone. Two lecturers from the Sundanese Language Education Study Program officially earned their doctoral degrees after completing their open dissertation defenses on Tuesday, 27 January 2026.

The two lecturers are Dr. Danan Darajat, M.Pd., who earned a Doctorate in Literature Teaching, and Dr. Zulfikar Alamsyah, M.Pd., who earned a Doctorate in Children’s Literature. This achievement reflects the lecturers’ commitment to enhancing academic competence and scholarly contribution, particularly in the development of education and regional literary studies.

This accomplishment further strengthens the quality of human resources within FPBS, especially in the field of Sundanese language and literature education, and supports the advancement of research-based and innovative learning.

The success of these two lecturers aligns with FPBS UPI’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through improving the quality of educators, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening academic networks and scholarly collaboration at both national and international levels.
