Bandung, 2 May 2026 - Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) presented awards to a number of outstanding members of its academic community, work units, and alumni during an appreciation ceremony held at the parking area of the UPI Gymnasium Building. One of the award recipients was Prof. Fuad Abdul Hamied, M.A., Ph.D., a lecturer in the English Language Education Study Program, who was recognized for the book grant award for The Routledge International Handbook of English Language Education in Indonesia.
The award serves as recognition of Prof. Fuad’s contribution to academic development, particularly in the field of English language education in Indonesia. The scholarly work not only enriches the body of literature in English language education, but also demonstrates the important role of UPI academics in producing research contributions with national and international impact.
Through this achievement, FPBS UPI extends its congratulations and highest appreciation to Prof. Fuad Abdul Hamied, M.A., Ph.D. May this recognition inspire the academic community to continue producing meaningful work, strengthen the academic culture, and further enhance UPI’s scholarly reputation at the global level.
