Bandung, November 18, 2025 - Today, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the Japanese Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI held a public lecture titled 「日本語の若者ことばの特徴」 (Characteristics of Wakamono Kotoba) in a hybrid format. The event was part of the Kenkyū Dezain course and was attended by 5th-semester students from three classes onsite at the 4th Floor Auditorium of FPBS, as well as PBJ Master’s students who joined online.

The session featured a presentation by Prof. Kazuo Kato (Kanazawa University), who discussed the dynamics of Japanese youth language and its relevance to contemporary sociocultural developments.

This activity aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education and supports the realization of an Impactful Campus through international collaboration and the enhancement of students’ linguistic literacy. The lecture is expected to provide students with new insights to support research development and thesis writing, particularly those related to Wakamono Kotoba.
