Bandung, September 15, 2025 – Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) once again demonstrated its academic engagement on the international stage through a visiting professor program by Prof. Nuria Haristiani, M.Ed., Ph.D., a Professor at UPI and Head of the Integrated Bachelor–Master Program in Japanese Language Education, FPBS UPI. On this occasion, she delivered a lecture in the International Public Lecture entitled “Modern Education: Artificial Intelligence and Research Trend” held in Chirchiq, Uzbekistan.
Prof. Nuria presented “Gengobot: Innovation in Language Education” which highlighted the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing the effectiveness of language learning. Her participation reflects UPI’s and FPBS’s commitment to advancing educational innovation while expanding international networks in research and educational technology development. Her contribution was highly appreciated by the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) – National Research University, Tashkent, which considered her ideas significant for the future of technology-based education.
This initiative aligns with the UPI Berdampak program and supports the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Through this visiting professor program, UPI reaffirmed its role in expanding global academic networks, improving research quality, and offering innovative solutions for 21st-century educational challenges.
The lecture was attended by G.I. Mukhamedov, Rector of Chirchiq State Pedagogical University (CSPU), along with Vice Rectors, Kudrat Bobokhujaev, Rector of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISFI), as well as Rectors and Vice Rectors from TIIAME–National Research University and other Central Asian academics. On this occasion, UPI recommended strengthening collaborative research, developing AI-based learning platforms, and expanding international partnerships as sustainable strategies.
In addition to delivering the lecture, Prof. Nuria visited the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) in Tashkent and the Uzbekistan State World Language University. These activities further supported the UPI Berdampak program toward achieving Quality Education (SDG 4) and fostering Innovation in Infrastructure (SDG 9).
Through this academic engagement, UPI reaffirmed its position as a higher education institution committed to delivering innovation, making a global impact, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals through education.
