LAMDIK site assessment at the Japanese Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI

Bandung, 23 June 2026 - The Undergraduate Japanese Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), underwent a Site Assessment for accreditation by the Independent Education Accreditation Agency (LAMDIK) on 22-23 June 2026. This activity marked an important stage in the accreditation process aimed at verifying the alignment between accreditation documents and the actual implementation of education within the study program.

The assessment series began with the welcoming of the assessor team by the leadership of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, followed by an official opening attended by university leaders, faculty leaders, study program leaders, the quality assurance team, lecturers, administrative staff, and the accreditation task force team. Throughout the two-day implementation, the assessors conducted verification, validation, and confirmation processes regarding various aspects of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The assessment agenda included document review, interviews with university and faculty leaders, study program management, lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, graduate users, and partner institutions. In addition, the assessor team also observed the learning process, supporting facilities and infrastructure, and various academic facilities that form part of the accreditation assessment.

This site assessment served as a strategic momentum for the Japanese Language Education Study Program to demonstrate the implementation of a quality assurance system that has been carried out continuously. Various achievements in the fields of education, research, community service, cooperation, and learning innovation were presented as evidence of the study program’s commitment to producing graduates who are competent, adaptive, and competitive at both national and international levels.

The entire academic community of the Japanese Language Education Study Program demonstrated synergy and readiness throughout the assessment process. Collaboration among lecturers, administrative staff, students, alumni, graduate users, and supporting units stands as concrete proof of a shared commitment to realizing study program governance that is high-quality and oriented toward continuous quality improvement.

Through the implementation of this LAMDIK Site Assessment, the Japanese Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI remains optimistic about obtaining the best accreditation result as a reflection of excellent educational delivery. More than merely fulfilling accreditation standards, this activity forms part of an ongoing effort to improve academic service quality, strengthen the culture of quality, and support the vision of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia as a pioneering and leading higher education institution in the field of education.
