Bandung, 17 June 2026 — The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), officially established cooperation with SUIDO TECHNICAL SERVICE Co., Ltd. through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement held on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, in the Meeting Room of Building B, 1st Floor, FPBS UPI. This cooperation is focused on the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education within the Japanese Language Education Study Program, while also developing international internship programs for students.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Wawan Gunawan, M.Ed., Ph.D., as Dean of FPBS UPI; Ms. Yanty Wirza, M.Pd., M.A., Ph.D., as Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Partnership; Dr. Linna Meilia Rasiban, M.Pd., as Secretary of the Japanese Language Education Study Program; Dewi Kusrini, M.Pd., as the liaison between the Japanese Language Education Study Program and the partner institution; and Mr. Oshima Kenji as President Director of SUIDO TECHNICAL SERVICE Co., Ltd.
Through this cooperation, both parties are committed to developing various forms of collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service. In addition, this partnership is expected to open broader opportunities for students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program to gain professional experience through international internship programs, thereby improving their language competence, workplace skills, and cross-cultural insight.
The presence of Mr. Oshima Kenji symbolized the close relationship between higher education institutions and the international industrial sector. This synergy is expected to grow into various other collaborative programs that provide benefits to students, lecturers, and both institutions.
The signing of this cooperation agreement is in line with the commitment of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education) through improving the quality of learning based on international experience, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through the provision of internship opportunities and the development of work competencies, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening strategic collaboration with global partners.
Through this partnership, FPBS UPI hopes to continue expanding its international network and to create more opportunities for students to develop as outstanding, adaptive graduates who are ready to compete at the global level.
