Bandung, August 19, 2026 — The Arabic Language Education Study Program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) organized the 2026 Study Program Orientation (MOKAPRO) in the Theater Room of the Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS) building at UPI. This activity formed part of the orientation series for new students after they had previously taken part in the Faculty Orientation Program (MOKA Fakultas). MOKAPRO was designed as a space for new students to become more familiar with the academic environment, the learning system, and student life within the Arabic Language Education Study Program.
Before joining MOKAPRO, new students first took part in MOKA Fakultas, which provided various information about the environment and structure of FPBS UPI, including material on the academic world and the role of students as future educators. The activity was also enlivened by a parade of student associations from various study programs within FPBS. Each association presented different forms of creativity, such as dance, music, drama, musical performances, and showcases highlighting the traditions and culture of their respective study programs.
As MOKAPRO began, new students were introduced to the Arabic Language Education Study Program through the introduction of lecturers and educational staff, the academic system, and various information related to the study process. This introduction became an initial step for new students to understand the academic environment while adapting to campus life in the study program.
MOKAPRO also featured high-achieving students as speakers to share their experiences and insights with new students. Kang Syammaz Az Zaydarach Yusra, West Java Language Ambassador 2024, encouraged students to take every opportunity available and to build effective communication. According to him, good communication is not merely about delivering messages, but also about having clear purposes. The ability to empathize and understand how others think is one of the important elements in building effective communication.
In addition, Teh Alma Maksuminisa Andini, as a Google Student Ambassador, shared strategies for managing time effectively during university life, especially through the wise use of technology. She emphasized the importance of students being able to make use of developments in artificial intelligence (AI) to support the learning process. The use of AI can be optimized by giving clear instructions through three main elements, namely role, task, and limitations through prompts, so that the technology can be used appropriately and responsibly in addressing various academic needs.
The activity series then continued with a sharing session featuring an inspiring student, Salma Nur Asy-Syifa, who raised the theme of maintaining consistency in learning amid physical limitations. This session provided both perspective and motivation for new students that limitations are not barriers to continuous learning, growth, and achievement. The experience she shared became a tangible illustration of the potential and competencies that can be developed through perseverance and earnestness throughout the academic journey.
Through MOKAPRO 2026, new students are expected to become better prepared for university life, maintain the spirit to keep developing, and cultivate a sense of belonging to the Arabic Language Education Study Program. The activity is also expected to serve as an initial step for new students to build relationships, recognize their own potential, and take roles in various academic and non-academic activities within the campus environment.
