Bandung, September 15, 2026 – SMA Labschool Percontohan UPI welcomed students participating in the Professional Education Strengthening Program (P3K) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10.00 WIB. The activity took place at SMA Labschool Percontohan UPI and formed part of the placement process for P3K students at partner schools for the current semester.
The activity was attended by Hj. Komalia, M.Pd., Principal of SMA Labschool Percontohan UPI; Dr. Mursyid Setiawan, M.Pd., representing the UPI field supervising lecturers (DPL); the Vice Principal for Curriculum; the Vice Principal for Student Affairs; and several mentor teachers who will accompany the students during their assignment. From UPI, 16 P3K students attended from four study programs: Arabic Language Education, Sociology Education, Pancasila and Citizenship Education, and Dance Education.
The students were warmly welcomed by the school. In her remarks, the Principal of SMA Labschool Percontohan UPI stated that the presence of P3K students is expected to become a mutual learning opportunity for both the students and the school. For the students, the program provides an opportunity to gain direct experience in the field of education, from teaching practice to classroom management. For the school, the presence of the students also offers new perspectives on learning methods and approaches currently developing in the digital era.
This spirit of mutual learning serves as the main foundation for the implementation of the program, in which students are not only learners but also contributors of ideas and learning innovations that are relevant to contemporary developments. This form of collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy between higher education institutions and schools in preparing prospective educators who are adaptive to change.
With this welcoming activity, the P3K students officially began their assignment at SMA Labschool Percontohan UPI. The activity also marked the beginning of a series of learning, mentoring, and collaborative processes that will take place throughout the P3K program.
