Bandung, September 14, 2026 — Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), through the Arabic Language Education Program at the Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), formally established cooperation with SD Pintar, located at Jl. Abadi IV No. 1, Gegerkalong, Sukasari District, Bandung, to strengthen the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Quality Education.

The Arabic Language Education Program at FPBS UPI is implementing the Professional Teacher Education Experience Strengthening Program (P3K) in cooperation with SD Pintar. The program provides students with direct experience in a school environment while developing their competencies in education, teaching, and school administration.

The P3K Program forms part of the effort to prepare students with educational and teaching competencies and the ability to adapt to a professional environment. It also provides a platform for students to develop skills in teaching, managing administration, and carrying out activities related to teachers’ duties and work programs.

The P3K activities involve one lecturer and three students from UPI’s Arabic Language Education Program. The lecturer serves as the Field Supervising Lecturer, while the students undertake various educational activities at SD Pintar.

During the program, students participate in Arabic language instruction, Islamic Religious Education, Quran memorization, and Quran recitation improvement. Their involvement gives them opportunities to gain direct experience in the learning process and interact with pupils and the school environment.

In addition to teaching activities, the students participate in various school programs, including welcoming pupils, attending ceremonies, assisting with activities for female students, and supporting extracurricular activities.

The P3K Program runs for four months, from September through December. Its stages include preparation, drafting the Implementation Arrangement, consultation and alignment of expectations, signing the Implementation Arrangement, implementation, and evaluation.

Through cooperation between the Arabic Language Education Program at FPBS UPI and SD Pintar, the P3K Program is expected to provide students with direct opportunities to develop educational experience and competencies. At the same time, student participation contributes to supporting learning activities and other school programs throughout the implementation period.
