Lembang, September 17, 2026 — Seven students from the Arabic Language Education Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), officially began the Professional Teacher Education Experience Strengthening Program (P3K) at SDTQ Fajar Sunnah in Lembang, West Bandung Regency. The opening and student handover ceremony was held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, marking the start of the P3K program at the school.
The activity took place at SDTQ Fajar Sunnah, located at BTN Pusdikajen, Jl. Wira A.13 Kayu Ambon, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency. During the event, the seven students were welcomed by the Principal of SDTQ Fajar Sunnah, Ramdhani, S.K.M., and accompanied by Field Supervisor Hikmah Maulani, S.Pd., M.Pd.
SDTQ Fajar Sunnah is a school that focuses on Qur’an memorization and diniyyah education. These characteristics offer Arabic Language Education students a distinctive opportunity to experience an educational environment closely connected to Qur’anic learning and Islamic values.
The implementation of P3K at SDTQ Fajar Sunnah is part of the Arabic Language Education students’ field-based learning process. Through this program, students can apply the educational knowledge and skills they have acquired during their studies while gaining direct insight into the dynamics of learning and the school work environment.
The cooperation between the Arabic Language Education Program at FPBS UPI and SDTQ Fajar Sunnah for the implementation of P3K is formalized through Implementation Agreement (IA) No. 229/UN40.A3/HK.00.10/2026. The document serves as the basis for the students’ activities throughout the program at the school.
During the P3K program, students will participate in various educational activities suited to the school’s needs and circumstances. These activities include gaining teaching experience, interacting with students, understanding the school environment, and developing the skills required of prospective educators.
Throughout the program, the students will be supervised by Field Supervisor Hikmah Maulani, S.Pd., M.Pd. This supervision is expected to help the students carry out the program in a structured manner while providing opportunities to receive guidance and evaluation during the activity.
For PBA FPBS UPI students, the P3K program at SDTQ Fajar Sunnah provides an opportunity to observe firsthand how education is carried out in the field. This experience complements their university studies, particularly in developing teaching skills, communicating with students, and adapting to the school environment.
For SDTQ Fajar Sunnah, the presence of P3K students is expected to contribute to the school’s educational activities. This collaboration also forms part of the relationship between higher education institutions and schools in supporting the development of prospective educators who are prepared to enter the teaching profession.
