Bandung, August 8, 2025 – The Arabic Language Education Study Program (PBA), Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held a socialization event themed “Anti-Bullying, Sexual Violence, and Intolerance in the Arabic Language Education Environment” on Friday (8/8). The activity was conducted online via Zoom Meeting from 09.00–11.00 AM (WIB) and was attended by all PBA students from various cohorts.
The event was opened by the Head of the PBA Study Program, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Zaka Al Farisi, M.Hum., who emphasized the importance of creating an academic atmosphere that is safe, inclusive, and free from all forms of violence and discrimination. He encouraged students to uphold the value of tolerance as part of academic integrity.
The socialization presented Hikmah Maulani, M.Pd. as the main speaker, with Farhan Fuadi, M.Pd. as the moderator. In her presentation, Hikmah explained the various forms of bullying, sexual violence, and intolerance that may occur in the educational environment, as well as preventive measures and handling mechanisms according to campus policies and national regulations.
Towards the end of the session, Dr. Rinaldi Supriadi, M.Pd. provided guidance on awareness regarding sexual violence on campus. He emphasized the importance of individual vigilance, clear reporting procedures, and firm enforcement of regulations to protect the academic community.
This activity aligns with the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Through this socialization, UPI’s PBA Study Program demonstrates its commitment to creating an educational environment that is safe, healthy, and respectful.
