Bandung, February 9, 2026 - The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) held a Career Guidance (BIMKAR) event on Wednesday (February 9, 2026) as a platform to equip students for their transition from campus life to the workforce, while also strengthening their roles as alumni.

The event began with the MC’s opening, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem. The Vice Dean for Student Affairs (WD 3) of FPBS then delivered a speech on the responsibilities and roles of alumni, including the importance of maintaining the institution’s good name, building a professional network, and contributing to the strengthening of the alumni community and institutional development.

In the next session, FPBS awarded 7 outstanding graduates as a form of appreciation for their academic achievements and dedication during their studies. These awards were intended to motivate and inspire other students to continue to excel, develop their competencies, and build a positive track record while still in university. The award recipients came from various academic levels within FPBS, with the following details:

  1. Dr. Tina Priyantin, M.Pd. (Ph.D. - English Education)
  2. Ahmad Dindang Mababaya, M.Pd. (Master’s - English Education)
  3. Hasan Aryopradipto, S.Pd. (Bachelor’s - English Education)
  4. Nadya Eva Pradini, S.Pd. (Bachelor’s - Japanese Language Education)

  6. Putri Safira, S.Pd. (Bachelor’s - Indonesian Language and Literature Education)
  7. Muhammad Rizky Vidi Alamsyah, S.S. (Bachelor’s - English Language and Literature)

The main presentation was then given by Ashanti Widyana, S.Hum., M.A., a faculty advisor from the Korean Language Education Program, who discussed the topic of remote work for fresh graduates. In her presentation, Ashanti highlighted the increasing flexibility of the workforce and the growing openness to remote work schemes, including opportunities available to new graduates. However, she emphasized that these opportunities must be balanced with relevant competencies, such as professional communication skills, time management, independent work discipline, and mastery of digital collaboration tools to ensure optimal team coordination and productivity.

The event continued with an interactive discussion and Q&A session. Students took this opportunity to explore strategies for starting a career, understanding the characteristics of remote work, and inquiring about the skills that should be prepared early on. The event concluded with a group photo and formal closing.

Through this BIMKAR event, FPBS UPI hopes that students gain new insights and more focused preparation in facing the dynamics of the workforce, including flexible work opportunities for fresh graduates. This event also reaffirms FPBS’s commitment to strengthening student services and preparing graduates who are adaptable, professional, and competitive.
