Bandung, 18 February 2026 – The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS) together with the Korean Language Education Study Program (PBK) officially sent off two students to participate in a student mobility program at Sookmyung Women’s University, South Korea, for one semester.
The two students from the Korean Language Education Study Program selected for this program are Sapitri (2303441) and Narisa Aulia Jasmine (2305896). This student mobility program is part of efforts to internationalize academic activities and strengthen the global competencies of PBK students, particularly in the fields of Korean language and culture.
The send-off ceremony was attended by faculty and program leaders, including FPBS Dean Prof. Wawan Gunawan, M.Ed., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance Prof. Dr. Yulianeta, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Partnerships Yanty Wirza, M.Pd., M.A., Ph.D., and Head of the Korean Language Education Study Program Risa Triarisanti, S.Pd., M.Pd.
In his remarks, the FPBS Dean expressed appreciation for the two students’ achievement in being accepted into the student mobility program and emphasized the importance of international academic experience in shaping graduates who are excellent, adaptive, and globally competitive. He also hoped that the students would serve as academic ambassadors who uphold the institution’s reputation throughout their studies in South Korea.
The Head of the Korean Language Education Study Program also conveyed hopes that both students would make the most of their learning opportunities, expand their academic networks, and deepen their language competencies and cultural understanding firsthand in a Korean academic environment.
This student mobility program is expected not only to benefit the participating students, but also to have a positive impact on the development of international cooperation and improvement of the quality of learning within FPBS and the Korean Language Education Study Program.
The participation of Sapitri and Narisa in this program represents a strategic step in supporting the faculty’s internationalization vision while also strengthening the Korean Language Education Study Program’s position within the global academic network.
