Bandung, October 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), once again achieved remarkable success during the celebration of UPI’s 71st Anniversary, themed “Soaring Together for a Brilliant UPI.”
These achievements serve as evidence of FPBS’s commitment to realizing quality, collaborative, and sustainable education in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
In the awarding ceremony, FPBS proudly received six categories of recognition:
- 1st Place – Outstanding Lecturer in Social Humanities: Dr. Jatmika Nurhadi, S.S., M.Hum. (Lecturer, Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program)
- 2nd Place – Gemilang Content Creator Award: Aryasatya Imtiyaz Sandy (Student, English Language Education Study Program)
- 2nd Place – Best PPID Website
- 3rd Place – Best Academic Unit Social Media
- 2nd Place – Best Supporting UPPS for Green Metric
- Contributing UPPS Category – Most Internationally Accredited Programs
The Dean of FPBS UPI, Prof. Dr. Wawan Gunawan, M.Hum., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation and gratitude for these achievements.
“This result is the fruit of a long evaluation process and represents the collective achievement of everyone in FPBS. We extend our gratitude to the former Dean - now Vice Rector - who initiated and guided the faculty toward this success. Our thanks also go to the Vice Deans, program task forces, heads and secretaries of study programs, lecturers, and academic staff for their dedication and hard work,” said Prof. Wawan.
He further emphasized that these recognitions serve as motivation for FPBS to continuously strengthen governance, enhance learning innovation, and build cross-sector synergy to support UPI’s vision as a pioneering and globally leading university.
FPBS’s achievements at UPI’s 71st Anniversary also reflect the faculty’s tangible contribution to the implementation of the SDGs within higher education - fostering an excellent, inclusive, and sustainable academic culture for both the academic community and the wider society.
