Bandung, 25 June 2026 - The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held an Internationally Certified Gemini AI Training program for lecturers and administrative staff on Thursday, 25 June 2026. The activity featured Mr. Sudaryatno, S.Kom. as the resource person, guiding participants in understanding and utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, especially Google Gemini, to support academic and administrative tasks.
This training formed part of FPBS UPI’s efforts to strengthen digital transformation within the faculty while enhancing human resource competence so that staff members can adapt to rapidly advancing technological developments. In addition to gaining conceptual understanding of generative AI, participants also received direct hands-on experience in using Gemini to support work productivity, document preparation, teaching material development, data analysis, and the preparation of various administrative needs more effectively and efficiently.
In his presentation, Mr. Sudaryatno, S.Kom. explained that the use of AI is not intended to replace human roles, but rather to serve as a supporting tool capable of improving the quality and efficiency of work. He also emphasized the importance of using AI wisely, responsibly, and in a manner that continues to uphold academic ethics in every learning and administrative process.
The training was conducted interactively through discussion sessions, demonstrations of Gemini usage, and practice in writing effective prompts so that participants could obtain optimal results from AI technology. Participants’ enthusiasm was evident from their high level of participation in both the question-and-answer session and the practical exercises involving various Gemini features relevant to everyday work needs.
Through this activity, participants were also prepared to take part in an international certification process as formal recognition of their competence in using Gemini AI in the higher education environment. Training programs of this kind form part of strengthening AI literacy, which is now increasingly being applied in universities to support innovation in learning, research, and administrative services.
With the implementation of this training, FPBS UPI hopes that lecturers and administrative staff will be increasingly ready to face the era of digital transformation, able to integrate AI technology optimally into the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, and capable of delivering academic services that are more innovative, effective, and competitive at both national and international levels.
