Bandung, 2 February 2026 – The even semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) officially began on Monday (2/2/2026). After completing the odd semester break, students from various study programs returned to campus to resume academic activities.
In accordance with university policy, classes for this semester are conducted face-to-face. The Head of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program, Dr. Haris Santosa Nugraha, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his hope that the learning process would run smoothly and positively impact students’ academic achievement.
We hope that this even semester runs smoothly and that students are able to improve their academic performance compared to the previous semester, he said.
He also emphasized that UPI, as a university that upholds the vision of Leading and Outstanding, believes that students are well prepared to participate actively, discipline themselves, and take responsibility in their academic activities.
The start of the even semester serves as momentum for students to improve and enhance their academic achievements. One student of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program, Zulpan Agustian (class of 2025), shared his target for this semester.
This semester, learning methods and intensity must be improved to achieve better academic results. In addition, time management must be more disciplined, he stated.
Efforts to improve the quality of learning are aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4, namely quality education.
To support smooth academic activities, the faculty provides various supporting facilities, including improved campus internet access (Wi-Fi) for students. In addition, to maintain the quality of academic services, university and faculty leaders also conduct monitoring of the learning process to ensure that all academic activities run smoothly and in accordance with applicable regulations.
The study program also encourages all students to prepare themselves optimally from the beginning of the semester, both in terms of time management, mental readiness, and learning enthusiasm.
The even semester was welcomed enthusiastically by students, as reflected in their readiness to attend face-to-face classes from the very first day, including punctual attendance.
It’s nice to be back on campus after a fairly long holiday to rest, said Afta Al-Insani F., a 2024 student of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program.
