On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI, Bumi Siliwangi, Bandung, a handover ceremony was held for six students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), who will undertake the Professional Education Experience Strengthening Program (P3K) at the school. The occasion also marked the signing of Implementation Agreement Number 230/UN40.A3/HK.00.10/2026, which serves as the legal framework for cooperation between the Arabic Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI and SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI.
The cooperation document was signed directly by the Principal of SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI, Haeruman, S.Pd., and the Dean of FPBS UPI, Prof. Wawan Gunawan, M.Ed., Ph.D., as a form of commitment from both parties to support each other in educational development. The signing ceremony was held solemnly and was attended by student representatives who will be involved in the program.
P3K is one of the flagship programs of the Arabic Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI. It is designed to allow students to experience the dynamics of the education sector directly at schools, from teaching processes and lesson plan preparation to involvement in school administrative activities. This program serves as an important preparation before students enter the profession as professional educators.
During the implementation of P3K at SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI, the six students will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamad Zaka Al Farisi, M.Hum., who serves as the field supervising lecturer. His guidance is expected to help direct students so that the program is carried out in accordance with the established outcomes.
After the handover ceremony, the students did not immediately begin their duties. They were first invited to tour the school environment and hold discussions with their respective mentor teachers. These discussions aimed to align understanding of the technical implementation of the program so that learning activities can later run in harmony with the rhythm and practices of SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI.
For the Arabic Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI, this type of cooperation is a concrete form of the Tridharma of Higher Education, particularly in the areas of education and community service. For the school, the presence of P3K students is expected to bring a fresh atmosphere while also supporting the classroom learning process.
Going forward, the collaboration between the Arabic Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI and SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI is expected not to stop at a single P3K period, but to continue and develop into a long-term partnership that is mutually beneficial for both institutions.
