Bandung, September 16, 2026 – The Arabic Language Education Program (PBA), Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), formally established cooperation with SD SaQu Mutiara Bandung through the Professional Teacher Education Experience Strengthening Program (P3K). The student handover and inauguration were held at the front building of SD SaQu Mutiara Bandung as a concrete step toward strengthening the competencies of prospective teachers.
The cooperation was formalized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement and an Implementation Agreement (IA) by the Principal of SD SaQu Mutiara Bandung, Rifki Wiguna, S.Pd., and the Dean of FPBS UPI, Prof. Wawan Gunawan, M.Ed., Ph.D. The documents were signed separately, with students from the Arabic Language Education Program at FPBS UPI directly observing the process.
During this period, three PBA FPBS UPI students were assigned to participate in the P3K Program at SD SaQu Mutiara Bandung. Throughout their assignment, the students will receive guidance and assistance from their Field Supervisor, Nalahuddin Saleh, M.Pd.
The event began with the formal handover of the students from the university to the school, followed by an interactive discussion with the mentor teachers. The discussion addressed the alignment of perspectives, the development of learning plans, and the establishment of strategies for mentoring students in the classroom.
The P3K Program adopts an integrated approach based on the Tridharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service. Through the program, students directly apply their educational knowledge in practice (education), identify learning dynamics and possible solutions (research), and make concrete contributions to the academic development of the partner school (community service).
Through this partnership, PBA FPBS UPI and SD SaQu Mutiara Bandung hope to maintain sustainable cooperation that prepares professional educators while making a positive contribution to educational development at the school.
