Bandung (30/1/2026) - The General Assembly of the Sundanese Language and Literature Education Student Association (SU Hima Pensatrada) officially appointed the Chair of the Student Representative Council (DPM) and the Chair of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Hima Pensatrada for the 2026 period. The appointment took place during the General Assembly held at the PKM Building of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) from 26-30 January 2026.

At the peak session held on Friday (30/01/2026), Wahyunanto Muhamad Kahfi was appointed as Chair of DPM Hima Pensatrada. Subsequently, Zidan Jamaludin was officially elected as Chair of BEM Hima Pensatrada. This appointment marks the beginning of a new era of student leadership within the Sundanese Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI for the upcoming year.

The Head of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program, Dr. Haris Santosa Nugraha, S.Pd., M.Pd., welcomed the leadership regeneration process positively. According to him, student organizations play a strategic role as academic partners in actualizing Sundanese values and leadership within the campus environment.

Student organizations in the Sundanese Language Education Study Program must become real instruments in preserving Sundanese language and culture within society. We hope the new leadership will produce innovative programs that support outstanding student achievements, he stated.

Similarly, the newly elected Chair of DPM Hima Pensatrada, Wahyunanto Muhamad Kahfi, emphasized his commitment to strengthening the legislative function of students through transparent and participatory organizational governance.

DPM holds great responsibility in maintaining the dignity of the organization and ensuring that all policies align with the constitution. We are committed to building a democratic, accountable organizational culture that prioritizes the interests of Pensatrada students, he explained.

Furthermore, the leadership of Wahyunanto Muhamad Kahfi and Zidan Jamaludin is projected to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities. The synergy between DPM and BEM is expected to strengthen regional language literacy amid globalization, in line with UPI’s spirit of Leading and Outstanding.

Strategically, the new leadership is encouraged to formulate an organizational roadmap aligned with the development of the Integrity Zone (ZI) within FPBS. Transparency and accountability serve as fundamental principles in organizational governance to ensure Hima Pensatrada becomes a model of clean and service-oriented student bureaucracy (WBK/WBBM). Additionally, strengthening research and activities based on local wisdom is considered essential to expand the faculty’s positive societal impact.

The five-day General Assembly included discussions of the Accountability Report (LPJ) of the previous administration, the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), Padika Gawe Organisasi (PGO), and Gurat Badag Padika Gawe (GBPG). The entire assembly culminated in the election and appointment of the DPM and BEM Chairs of Hima Pensatrada. The event was attended by faculty student affairs advisors and representatives of student organizations within FPBS. The Pensatrada student body enthusiastically monitored the democratic process until its completion.

The newly elected BEM Chair of Hima Pensatrada, Zidan Jamaludin, expressed appreciation for the trust given by FPBS students and reaffirmed his commitment to leading an inclusive, collaborative, and impactful organization.
