Bandung, 3 November 2026 – The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Indonesian Army Command and General Staff College (SESKOAD) to provide English-language training. The signing took place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
The agreement was signed by the Dean of FPBS UPI, Prof. Wawan Gunawan, M.Ed., Ph.D., and the Director of Education at SESKOAD, Brigadier General Surya Wibawa Suparman. A team from UPI’s Directorate of Cooperation and International Affairs (DKUI) and representatives of UPI’s English Language Education Study Program also attended. The event marked the beginning of a collaboration between higher education and a military educational institution to develop English communication skills.

The cooperation aims to help officer students speak English clearly, fluently, confidently, and professionally. The training will also strengthen their ability to converse with international colleagues, particularly military personnel from other countries.
The training will help participants understand differences in communication cultures when interacting with international personnel, enabling them to communicate effectively and respect cultural diversity in every interaction.
Through this cooperation, FPBS UPI reaffirms its commitment to improving human resources while supporting the goal of quality education (SDG 4). The collaboration is expected to continue and bring tangible benefits to both parties.
