FPBS UPI Inaugurates Literasa Canteen as a Space for Collaboration and Academic Community Well-being in Support of the SDGs

Bandung, September 29, 2025 – The Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), held the Grand Opening of Literasa Canteen at the FPBS basement on Monday (29/9). The event was attended by FPBS academic staff, tenant representatives, university leaders, and students from across FPBS UPI.

The event began with an opening by the master of ceremonies, followed by remarks from Dean of FPBS UPI, Wawan Gunawan, M.Ed., Ph.D. Afterwards, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Business, Prof. Dr. phil. Yudi Sukmayadi, M.Pd., officially inaugurated the Literasa Canteen. His presence signified the university’s full support for FPBS’s initiative in providing a space that supports academic, recreational, and entrepreneurial activities for students.

On this occasion, tenant representatives also delivered remarks as part of the collaboration with the faculty. The event continued with information on the facilities offered at the Literasa Canteen, interactive games, and musical performances that created a warm and engaging atmosphere.

Literasa Canteen was established not only as a food service facility but also as a collaborative space to foster literacy culture, creativity, and togetherness among the academic community. The canteen is expected to serve as a hub for students to engage in activities, discussions, and networking across disciplines.

This event also reflected FPBS UPI’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

  • SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being)
  • SDG 4 (Quality Education)
  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)

Through this facility, FPBS aims to provide a healthy, inclusive, and productive learning environment for the entire academic community.
