Bandung, 4 January 2026 - The Environmental Enthusiast Group (KPLH) Pancaksuji, under the coordination of BEM Hima Pensatrada FPBS UPI, officially inaugurated two new member candidates through a training program held on Sunday (4/1/2026). The inauguration marked the conclusion of the 2025 cohort training series of Sundanese Language Education students and symbolized the continued regeneration of nature enthusiasts within the student association.
The head of the training committee, Dika Fihara, explained that the two-day and three-night field training aimed to equip participants with fundamental outdoor knowledge while shaping their character.
This training is not only about technical skills in nature but also about developing attitude, responsibility, and environmental awareness, said Dika.
He added that Pancaksuji also actively develops cultural programs to broaden members’ perspectives.
In addition to training, Pancaksuji runs the Saba Budaya program, which invites members to visit locations with cultural, educational, and religious value, he added.
The Student Affairs Advisor of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program, Ade Sutisna, also appreciated the implementation of the training and inauguration. According to him, such organizational activities play an important role in shaping students’ character beyond academic learning.
Activities like this serve as contextual learning spaces for students. They not only train technical skills but also foster discipline, teamwork, and care for the environment and others, said Ade Sutisna.
He hopes the ongoing regeneration process will produce members with integrity who can uphold the reputation of both the organization and the study program.
Through this training and inauguration process, it is hoped that Pancaksuji members will be resilient in nature while also demonstrating character, ethics, and responsibility as Sundanese Language Education students, he added.
In line with this, one of the participants, Radyan Raksa I, shared that the training provided valuable experiences and new knowledge.
We gained a lot of knowledge during the training, especially regarding ethics when engaging in outdoor activities. This program also reminded us of the importance of maintaining health through physical exercise, said Radyan.
During the training, participants received various materials, including travel and logistics management, rope techniques, tent setup, basic first aid (P3K), and appropriate attitudes and behavior in outdoor settings.
The program began with an opening ceremony in front of Gedung Isola UPI Bandung, continued with field activities in the Bukit Dwirento area, Sukawana, Lembang, and concluded with a closing ceremony back at Isola. After completing all activities, participants were officially declared graduates and inaugurated by the training committee.
