Bandung, 17 January 2026 - “Sakedok Ulah Kagok, Sapanggung Ulah Pundung!” The Sundanese Language Student Art Community (Sambada) successfully held a traditional longser performance as the culmination of Diklat Sambada 2025. The event took place at Gedung Geugeut Winda on Friday (17/01/2026).

The longser performance featured a script titled “Kalangsu” written by Ayi G. Sasmita. The selection of this script was considered relevant to contemporary social realities and rich in moral messages.

The script was chosen because it reflects today’s social realities. Through this performance, messages and advice were conveyed to both the audience and the performers, said Anggun Citra Listandi, Production Leader and a 2024 student of the Sundanese Language Education program.

Support for the event was also expressed by the Head of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program, Dr. Haris Santosa Nugraha, S.Pd., M.Pd. He appreciated Sambada’s initiative in presenting longser as a medium for learning and cultural preservation. According to him, the study program’s recommendations and support were essential to the success of the student performance.

Throughout the performance, the actors demonstrated strong character interpretation and confident stage presence. The storyline was delivered smoothly through communicative Sundanese dialogue, enriched with the distinctive improvisational style of longser, which allowed direct interaction with the audience and created a lively and engaging atmosphere.

This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 Quality Education, by providing inclusive and practical learning experiences beyond the classroom. In addition, the performance supports SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, as it contributes to the preservation of local arts and culture.

At the closing of the event, Anggun Citra Listandi shared reflections and future expectations.

Future preparations need to be strengthened, especially in managing rehearsal time and improving production quality. Expanding collaboration with various parties, both within and outside the faculty, could also be a strategic step to enhance the quality and reach of student performances, she stated.
