On Saturday, 23 May 2026, FORMASI (Forum Mahasiswa Bereksplorasi) Out KEMABA 2026 was held. The event, which aimed to broaden students’ horizons and provide a space for academic exploration, took place at the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas) Building in Jakarta and carried the theme “Growing Together: Synergy between Individuals and Organizations in Building a Quality KEMABA.” The activity was attended by KEMABA board members as well as several students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program of UPI from various cohorts.
The series of activities began with an official opening by the master of ceremonies, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, as well as the KEMABA March and Hymn. The agenda continued with a series of important remarks, starting from the report of the FORMASI Chief Committee, remarks from the Student Affairs Lecturer of BEM KEMABA, and remarks from the Rais ‘Am of BEM KEMABA. Mr. Antariksa Akhmadi, M.LIS., as Librarian for User Guidance and Information Literacy Services at Perpusnas, also delivered a warm welcome, which concluded with a symbolic presentation of a plaque of appreciation by the Student Affairs Lecturer of BEM KEMABA, followed by a group photo session.
Entering the main agenda, the event continued with an introduction to the institution’s profile and a presentation delivered comprehensively by Ms. Rachelia Methasary, S.S., M.A., as the representative of Perpusnas RI. Carrying the theme “Information Literacy and Access to Perpusnas RI Digital Collections,” she presented important material ranging from an in-depth profile of Perpusnas, the urgency of information literacy, techniques for searching digital information effectively, to the introduction of various collections and featured digital service programs owned by Perpusnas RI. The interactive presentation sparked high enthusiasm among the participants, who were actively engaged in the question-and-answer session with the speaker. The entire series of educational sessions then concluded solemnly with a joint prayer.

The excitement of FORMASI OUT 2026 did not stop in the seminar room. It continued with a tour around the Perpusnas Building to see firsthand the facilities and management of what is described as the tallest library in the world. After exploring every corner of the building, the participants were given free time to rest, perform their prayers, and enjoy lunch together. At exactly 4:00 p.m. WIB, the entire group of students prepared to leave the venue and travel back to Bandung.
Through the organization of FORMASI OUT 2026, it is hoped that the students will gain positive outcomes in the form of improved literacy and a deeper understanding of how to make use of national research facilities. May this event become a sustainable spark of enthusiasm for the younger generation of KEMABA to continue exploring, innovating, and making real contributions to society.
