Head of Arabic Education Program at FPBS Attends International FGD in Oxford: A Global Collaboration Toward SDGs in Education

Oxford, United Kingdom – The Head of the Arabic Language Education Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zaka Al Farisi, M.Hum., participated in an International Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held at the Department of Education, University of Oxford, from July 15–19, 2025.

This event was part of an international collaborative research program facilitated by the Qatar Foundation, focusing on the development of Arabic language learning models in a global context. The forum brought together researchers, educators, and stakeholders from various countries to exchange ideas and formulate more effective and inclusive teaching approaches.

Prof. Zaka’s participation in this international forum reflects FPBS UPI’s strong commitment to global collaboration in achieving the 4th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Quality Education, and to promoting intercultural dialogue through language instruction. The event also strengthened UPI’s role as an active educational institution within international academic networks, contributing to the advancement of knowledge through cross-border collaboration.
