PBA Study Program of FPBS UPI Participates in National Semiloka and National Working Meeting of PPBA Indonesia in Malang to Strengthen Quality and Revitalize Curriculum Based on Permendiktisaintek 39 of 2025

MALANG - The Arabic Language Education Study Program (PBA) of the Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS) UPI reinforced its commitment to improving academic quality and strengthening accreditation standards by participating in the National Semiloka and the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of PPBA Indonesia, held on 5–7 November 2025 at eL-Hotel Kartika Wijaya, Batu, Malang, East Java.

This event served as a strategic national consolidation forum for all PBA study programs in Indonesia to align directions for quality enhancement, particularly in curriculum revitalization and the development of accreditation instruments (LED and DKPS) based on IAPS 2.0 LAMDIK in accordance with Permendiktisaintek 39 of 2025. The PBA Study Program of FPBS UPI was represented by the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Asep Sopian, M.Ag., and the Secretary of the Study Program, Dr. Rinaldi Supriadi, M.Pd.

The event was officially opened by the Chair of PPBA Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Hanik Mahilatussikah, M.Hum., who emphasized the importance of this national forum as a platform for strengthening academic ukhuwah and collectively elevating the quality standards of PBA study programs at the national level.

On 5 November, the first plenary session featured Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si. (Higher Education Curriculum Team, Ditbelmawa) who discussed the revitalization of higher education curricula, followed by the second plenary by Assoc. Prof. Muhbib Abdul Wahab, M.A. (LAMDIK Assessor) on strategies for developing curricula based on accreditation standards.

On 6 November, the third plenary by Prof. Dr. Subanji, M.Si. (LAMDIK Development Team) presented the implementation of IAPS 2.0, and the fourth plenary by Prof. Dr. Hanik Mahilatussikah, M.Hum. provided technical guidance on preparing LED and DKPS based on IAPS 2.0 LAMDIK. The event also presented the results of the Workshop on Curriculum Adaptation based on Permendiktisaintek 39 of 2025 and a Simulation of filling out IAPS 2.0, accompanied by the signing of PKS and IA among study programs to strengthen institutional networks.

The PPBA Indonesia National Working Meeting then discussed the evaluation and report of PPBA, formulated strategic follow-up programs from the semiloka results, and set policy recommendations for future operational steps.

On 7 November, the event concluded with the presentation of Rakernas results and a seminar on curriculum and accreditation featuring speakers from PBA study programs at the undergraduate (S1), master’s (S2), and doctoral (S3) levels. Through participation in this national agenda, PBA FPBS UPI affirmed its commitment to implementing the latest curriculum standards and LAMDIK accreditation instruments in a more systematic and measurable manner, aligned with the policy direction for improving higher education quality based on Permendiktisaintek 39 of 2025 and IAPS 2.0.
