On Saturday, 27 June 2026, at RA Asy Syifa, Banjar City, a Community Service activity was carried out under the theme “Strengthening Preschool Teachers’ Competence in Arabic Learning and Digital-Based Islamic Character Education through Lumi Education.” The activity was organized by the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, in collaboration with YP3I Asy Syifa.
The activity was attended by 15 participants, all of whom were teachers of RA Asy Syifa. Also present at the event was Prof. Dr. Maman Abdurrahman, M.Ag., Professor of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, who represented Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in delivering remarks and officially opening the program. The first material session was delivered by Farhan Fuadi, M.Pd. under the topic “The Nature of Lumi Education and Its Practice in the Teaching and Learning of Arabic.” The second material session was delivered by Iing Muslih, S.Ag., CDM. under the topic “The Practice of Lumi Education in Character and Moral Learning.”
The activity proceeded according to the agenda that had been set, including the opening, recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, prayer, remarks, presentation of the first material session, presentation of the second material session, a question-and-answer and discussion session, evaluation of the activity, and closing.
Based on the implementation of the activity, participants showed a high level of enthusiasm throughout the entire program. Through this activity, participants gained an understanding of the concept of Lumi Education and its implementation in Arabic language learning and digital-based Islamic character education. In addition, the activity served as a means of strengthening teachers’ competence in integrating digital technology into the learning process effectively and innovatively.
Thus, this Community Service activity was carried out well, smoothly, and in accordance with the objectives that had been set.
