Jakarta, 21 June 2026 - The Korean Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening international cooperation through active participation in the 76th Korean War Commemoration (6.25 Korean War Commemoration), organized by the Korea Freedom Federation (KFF) Indonesia at Aula Narae, Jakarta Korean International School (JIKS). The activity forms part of a partnership that has been maintained for more than a decade between KFF and the Korean Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI.

Students of the Korean Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI helped enliven the event through a K-Pop dance performance that became one of the main agenda items after the awards ceremony.
Cooperation between the Korean Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI and the Korea Freedom Federation has continued consistently since the leadership period of the former Head of Study Program, Mr. Didin Samsudin, S.E., M.M., CHCM., CIT., and has grown into a partnership founded on friendship, trust, and a shared commitment to supporting the development of Korean language education in Indonesia.

According to her, such participation is not merely about responding to an invitation, but serves as a form of academic commitment to understanding history while instilling humanitarian values in the younger generation.
This year’s participation also received full support from the entire academic community of the Korean Language Education Study Program of FPBS UPI. All lecturers were present to accompany the students throughout the activity, including Mr. Didin Samsudin, S.E., M.M., CHCM., CIT., Ms. Velayeti Nurfitriana Ansas, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ms. Ashanti Widyana, M.A., as Student Affairs Advisor, and Mr. Arif Husein Lubis, M.Pd. “For us, this commemoration is not only a moment to remember history, but also a reminder that war leaves profound lessons for humanity. We hope that the memory of the Korean War will continue to strengthen our commitment to peace, unity, and mutual understanding among nations, while inspiring the younger generation to contribute to creating a more peaceful world,” said Ms. Risa.
