BANDUNG, WPs. - BEM HIMA PENSATRADA successfully organized a scientific article discussion forum titled “Ngigelan Jaman ku Tulisan: Strategies for Writing Articles in the Digital Era” on Wednesday, 22 April 2026. The event, which took place at Auditorium B on the fourth floor of FPBS UPI, was attended by hundreds of students and featured lecturers as the main speakers. Through the organization of this seminar, the committee demonstrated its commitment to improving students’ skills and the quality of their scientific article writing amid the rapid current of digitalization.

High appreciation came from Dr. Haris Santosa Nugraha, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Sundanese Language Education Study Program. He stated that this academic agenda was an excellent work program because it successfully brought together lecturers and students within a shared scholarly vision. “This work program can be considered a very excellent one because it collaborates between lecturers and students. In the next period, this activity is recommended to be held again; keep the good parts and remove the weaknesses,” he said. Through this statement, the study program expressed strong support for the continuation and further development of similar activities in the future.

As the seminar moved into the presentation session, the dynamics of writing scientific work in the modern era became the main focus. “Nowadays, the making of articles and other assignments can be assisted by AI,” said Dr. Danan Darajat, S.Pd., M.Pd., one of the speakers. However, he gave an important note and emphasized that artificial intelligence should only be positioned as a supporting partner, not as the main center of human thinking. In addition to discussing AI, he also explained how the era of globalization has made it easier for students to access high-quality reading sources through various official applications and digital platforms.

More deeply, this seminar thoroughly examined the formula for writing scientific articles in accordance with accepted academic standards. All participants were provided with essential material covering an understanding of writing structure, strategies for selecting valid reference sources, and the ethics of using digital technology. Throughout the session, participants were repeatedly reminded to remain wise in using technology; AI may be used to simplify the process of compiling data, but it can never replace the originality of the writer’s own thinking.

On the other hand, the implementation of this literacy-based seminar also served as a concrete reflection of the academic world’s contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education. Through this practical enrichment, students were encouraged to continue improving their digital literacy and writing sharpness. These competencies are considered crucial so that young people can compete globally while creating a learning ecosystem that is adaptive to changing times.

As the closing point of the event, the forum left a profound message about the importance of maintaining balance between technological sophistication and the sharpness of human logic. This principle was directly felt by Destiani, one of the student participants. “After taking part in this activity, I now understand how to write scientific work properly while also using AI appropriately to support the writing process,” she said enthusiastically. Her testimony became a sweet conclusion while also proving the total dedication of the entire organizing committee.
