Korean Language Education Students Win 1st Place and Best Speaker at 2025 National Korean Debate Competition

Bandung, May 23, 2025 - Another proud achievement was secured by students of the Korean Language Education Program, Faculty of Language and Literature Education (FPBS), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) at the 2025 National Korean Language Debate Competition for University Students, held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at FX Sudirman, Jakarta.

In this prestigious competition, two FPBS UPI students - Narisa Aulia Jasmine (2305896) and Sapitri (2303442) - triumphed as 1st Place winners, surpassing participants from various universities across Indonesia. In addition, Sapitri received an individual award as Best Speaker, thanks to her outstanding command of the Korean language, critical thinking ability, and convincing debate performance.

This achievement reflects the strong academic quality and mentoring approach applied in the Korean Language Education Program at FPBS UPI. Their success stems from persistence, a passion for learning, and high dedication to language studies and communication skills.

Beyond competitive success, this accomplishment also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, as it demonstrates tangible outcomes of learning that fosters critical thinking, foreign language proficiency, and self-confidence. Moreover, this national-level success reinforces SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as the event fostered collaboration among educational institutions, cultural partners, and international communities in advancing Korean language development.

This remarkable achievement is expected to inspire all students to continue honing their skills, seizing opportunities in both national and international competitions, while upholding academic excellence and professionalism.
